Next Junior Coaching Block - STARTS WEEK BEGINNING JANUARY 6TH 2014

Dear Parent/Player  

I would like to take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas and a Happy/Healthy 2014 to you all. Thank you for your attendance and support over the past year. The current coaching block ended on Friday 13th December 2013.

The new coaching block will start WEEK BEGINNING JANUARY 6TH 2014. The new block will be 6 weeks long and therefore those whose sessions are indoors ( at Parklands) will owe £30 and those whose sessions are outdoors(at the club) will owe £21.

Please can this payment be made on the first week of the block.

As we are in a new year annual Club Membership is also due. It is mandatory that all those who attend coaching become club members, I will be giving you membership forms in the first week, alternatively you can go to www.oadbytennis.co.uk and download a form complete it along with payment and bring it with you to the first session of the block  

All session times and venues are the same as the last block apart from the Monday 4-5pm Red performance session and the Thursday 5:30-6:30pm Red Performance session.

These sessions will be merged together will both take place indoors at Parklands Leisure centre indoors. This will result in the price for the session being £30 for 6 weeks.

The day and time of this session has not been confirmed by Parklands yet so I will inform those involved when I have received confirmation. It is likely to be Monday 4-5pm or Thursday 4-5pm.

Junior Coaching - Winter Block, starting 28 Oct 2013

The final Friday of the current coaching block is 18th October 2013. There will be NO TENNIS over half term 21st-25th October 2013.

The new winter block with start week beginning Monday 28th October 2013 and will run for 7 consecutive weeks up until Friday 13th December  

All session times and days are the same as this current coaching block (for information on times and days of session see www.oadbytennis.co.uk)

The 7 week block will cost £24.50 for those who are playing in outdoor sessions at Oadby Tennis Club

The only change to the (new) winter block is for those Mini Red (8 and under) who play in the 4-5pm and/or 5-6pm on Fridays . These session will be held indoors at Parklands Leisure Centre (LE2 5QG) and not at Oadby Tennis Club. Due to the cost of the indoor venue lesson will increase in price to £5 per lesson therefore the block price for the players in these sessions will be £35.      

Hassan will be away for the first two weeks of the block so could you please insure that all payments are made on the first session your child attends. Ben will be in charge of making sure payments are collected.

Just a quick reminder to say that Junior tennis coaching starts again at Oadby on Monday 2nd September. 

The timetable of lessons and squads are the same as the previous term.

We are running our annual Club Junior Tournament throughout August.
 
If you wish to enter please complete this form to show which events you wish to play in.

We will make the draws on Saturday 10th August and matches will start from Tuesday 13th August.

New Coaching Block from 8 April

Here is the new weekly timetable of squad sessions.
I will be sending out squad invitations to each player/parent selected in the next two days.
If you/your child do not receive an invitation to a squad your session will be the Friday night B/C squads. Those players in the A* squad will be expected to attend two sessions a week all other players have one session but are welcome to attend the B/C squads on a Friday if they wish.
Please don't hesitate to email me with any questions in regard to the timetable.
Places in each squad are subject to constant review so players can be moved in or out of a squad based on performance/behaviour.

New Coaching Structure from Mon 8 April

Dear Parents/Players,
  
Our current coaching block ends on Friday 22nd March 2013. This marks the end of sessions indoors so ALL LESSONS NEXT TERMS WILL BE AT OADBY TENNIS CLUB.

The new block will begin on Monday 8th April 2013 (the same time as the children go back to school). The new block is 7 weeks long so everyone attending coaching will pay £24.50 per child(-£3.50 for those who missed their session on the final Friday before Easter), this payment is due at the start of the first session back after Easter!

There are a few remaining people who still need to pay their club membership. This needs to be completed ASAP otherwise your child will not be allowed to continue coming to coaching. Details of membership are on the club website www.oadbytennis.co.uk. completed forms can be posted or given to me at coaching.

In order to progress all our juniors who attend coaching with us, I am re-structuring the coaching after we have finished this current block. I will be putting all those who attend coaching into smaller squads, for example if we had 16 players coming to coaching on a Friday this would be broken down into four separate squads (squad A, B, C & D depending on ability) consisting of 4 players in each squad! This will allow us to maximise our coaching time with each individual child. This may mean that the time and day of your child's session will change so please look out for an email in the second week of the Easter holidays which will have details of the squad your child will be expected to attend.

I hope you will agree that this re-structure is a positive move. If you have any questions or queries about the re-structure (Once I have send the email with the details of the squads) please don't hesitate to contact me. If your child is unable to make their squad due to other commitments then they will have to join the squad below, for example if you are selected for the A squad and cant attend then you will have to attend the B squad training. For player who what to play more then once a week they will be allowed to train on Fridays (this will be squad C training night) and/or have individual lessons with myself or Ben (please contact us for more information on individuals).

Next Coaching Block Starts 18 Feb

Hi all,
We are currently in the last week of this coaching block. I am aware it has been very intermittent due to the snow and those of you that have been outdoors thank you for sticking with it.
There will be NO COACHING over half term so therefore the new coaching block will start Monday 18th February 2013.
All lessons will be held at the same time and venues as the current block and all children currently in performance squads are invited back in the same squad next term.
Can I please ask that payment is given to me on the first session back after half term as recently I am having to chase payments up, if things continue I may have to increase payments for those who pay late.
There are still some outstanding payments from this current block which is understandable due to snow. The next block is 5 weeks long and for those who are playing in sessions outdoors due to your credits (from the snow cancelled sessions) you only owe £14. For those playing indoors the cost will be £25. Please bring cash or a cheque to Mr H Khan.
Lastly your club membership is due before February 28th 2013, If you require a form either down load one from www.oadbytennis.co.uk or grab one from the club notice board.
